We gave Manila its third cup of tea in 2015 by way of presenting the intriguing, critically-acclaimed English rock trio ALT-J. The band invaded the blaring concert scene with their unique blend of electronic, folk, and indie rock, held together by sharp songwriting, complex yet catchy melodies and enigmatic lyrics. Solidifying art rock, experimental rock, and folktronica altogether, it’s safe to say triangles are now Manila’s favorite shape.
